The top 5 reasons why….

13 Jan

My husband is the greatest, and you should be jealous. Well Im joking about that last part, kind of. So as you read this and I am driving him to the airport and am pretty sad about it, I wanted to reflect on why I love him so much. Somethings are jokes and some are serious. #1 is probably the sweetest thing he’s ever done.

5. Even though he rarely admits it he loves Finny and snuggles him on the regular and takes great care of him.

4. He goes to things to be with me even if he really doesn’t want to. Like the Scentsy Convention in Las Vegas. Then we go to dinner’s that are really expensive that I ended up loving and he…..well the picture speaks for itself.

But don’t worry we do things he likes too…

Dan, Me and Harry (my brother) before quading in Mexico!

3. He does things just to make me laugh and brighten my day.

This is at work one day before we left. I think it’s his color for sure!

2. Last night he took me to the maternity store and bought me new clothes, bras and candy to help morning sickness….Now you know its serious!!!!

1. THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON…..he is a wonderful husband and will be a great father. He even made me this, and texted it to me at work.

Our wedding, our house and now Baby K!

He sent it with the caption progression, and honestly what a great progression it has been from two kids in their early 20’s to now being much closer to 30 than 20 and everything we have done and experienced together, it has been a wonderful life and I wouldn’t want to share it with anyone else!

It was really sweet and sorry Mom, I put the Ultrasound on the blog, but hey it isn’t Facebook, you said don’t put it on Facebook.

Las Vegas Part 3!

7 Aug

So the convention was in full swing, and Dan was clearly having a wonderful time!

I bought these two discontinued cuties in the store at convention and love them! I shipped 10 more of those pumpkins home, they still arent here yet, but I am hoping it was because they had so many boxes, not that I got screwed by UPS!

That is my tweet making the big boar at convention! You can follow me on twitter! @zandralexia!

Oh yea! Then Donnie and Marie Osmond showed up and sang for us! They are on the outside. The two people in the center are Heidi and Orville Thompson the owners of Scentsy! Dan thought Donnie and Marie were married and had no interest in them at all. I thought it was pretty darn cool myself!

This is a photo of all the free things they gave us, warmers, waxes, fondue warmers, chocolate and purses! I got two of each because I have the best husband ever and since he came we each got one!

Thursday night we had a free night so we went to the strip and walked around.

We ran into someone you may know who I am a but obsessed with!

Dan thought I wanted to have my photo taken with her and part of me did…but I restrained myself!

We had dinner at Caesars Palace, yes I took pictures and asked people if it was the real Caesars Palace….but I am no Alan from the hangover!

Dinner was great! At least I thought so….and also $126.00 with no alcohol. But worth it!

Kobe Beef Meatball….SO GOOD. Dan did like this part!

His Fred Flintstone Prime rib on the other hand was not a favorite of his. It was a bit too undercooked for his taste.

I loved my filet mignon and those potatoes and broccoli. Plus it was served with a side of bernaise! YUMMY…..pretty expensive but pretty great….well for one of us!!!

So that was our trip. Pretty great I have more pictures of Scentsy Products and new releases, but if you want to see those visit my website or contact me :).

Those are the three brands. Tomorrow I will have our going home pictures and my latest running and food workouts and obsessions, but its 9pm and I just got home from work so I am going to bed! Good night my friends :).

Las Vegas Recap Part 2…..

6 Aug

So we got to Vegas in one piece! Next we waded through a long check in line, and Dan got to see all the Scentsy Consultants in all their glory! He was a bit overwhelmed by the fact there were about 11,000 ladies and around 50 Men there. It all worked out though because it was his first time to Las Vegas and all!

Our first order of business was to get some food. We went to a pizza and burger place but I felt like I needed a salad, the first thing to go were those croutons! The salad was pretty good and the chicken was so much better than I expected!

After that we headed to the pool and ended our first day just relaxing!

The next day Wednesday we decided to workout, but the gym was $15-$20 a day. NO WAY was that happening! So we used the walking track the hotel had! MAN WAS THAT HOT! We went at 8am and it was already hot and for some reason humid.

I really liked the trail it was bouncy and a neat red color! Above you see my one leg apparently but I was on the move when I took the picture!

Here was some things we saw on the run, (we werent on the strip). We did a mile, as the loop was a half mile, we did two loops.

The monorail track is above as well, we ended up taking it to the strip later in the week!

Here is the hotel, it huge, but had so much inside of it. It was a nice hotel and A LOT cheaper than any I have stayed in in Vegas before. Definitely a bargain.

After our run we had breakfast at their coffee and wine bar I had a fruit salad and a english toffee latte!

They had nice pastries as well, but I was trying to eat lighter in the morning/afternoon because our dinners were so heavy.

After breakfast we went back to the room to change, I had to stretch my toes I always do this, most of the time I will stand in our kitchen doing it, I am not sure if anyone else does this but Dan thinks it is creepy! I think it feels wonderful!!

So we changed and headed to the convention for check in at noon, everyone else had the same idea. It was a very long line, but it moved pretty quickly!

I dont know who that Man is, I was just trying to get the signs.

This was my super cool badge, I was pretty happy about all my ribbons not so happy that it was orange, but that was okay!

After that Dan and I got some food, as there was nothing going on until later that day!

That apple margarita made an 11,000 person line and an hour wait for food all worth it!!!!!

Then it was time to head off to the convention opening ceremonies and parties that night! We chose this one, and it was the best!

Tomorrow Part three!!!

Better late than never…..Las Vegas Recap! Part 1

5 Aug

I would like to award myself as the worst blogger ever. I know I said I would have this posted Wednesday but between returning from Vacation, and getting back on track with running, my jobs and my life it was a rough and busy week! I was so tired at the end of each day so I decided to rest and blogging fell by the wayside!

So lets begin our vacation extravaganza! Well not technically a vacation, it was the Scentsy Convention. However it as in Las Vegas and we had technically two days there to ourselves so a mini-vacation!

It all started on Tuesday July 24th at 3:30 am! We had to catch a flight at 6am, so to be there on time we were leaving the house at 4:30 am. I got up early was dressed and ready to go. Dan was not as much of a go getter as I was in the middle of the night, so I made myself some coffee and relaxed.

That was until the storm of the century began! While i was reading a magazine and enjoying my coffee I saw a light flash across the kitchen window….”Oh no! Mom is here to pick us up early,” I thought and whipped my arm around…..

The result was

It was a great start to a great morning, or so I told myself. Then Mom did come and we headed to the airpot, thanks again Mom for driving us so we didnt have to pay to leave our car at the parking garage!

Before we left on the plane Dan wanted to find a magazine so we went into a store, we didnt end up buying anything but saw this and thought it was funny!

Thanks to the glare there I am in my really comfy Zebra dress…perfect for the plane.

So we took off and flew to Chicago, where due to bad weather, we had to circle the airport for 25-30 minutes! When we finally landed, we learned we had an hour delay before our connection would leave!

So we had some breakfast, and of course apple juice yum!

For being airport fast food it was a pretty good Bagel sandwich.

After that we headed back to the gate to wait for the flight. On the way I saw this and had to text the picture to my brother, because his name is Harry and because we loved Will Ferrel doing this on SNL.

So we were on the plane and luckily got to sit alone on the flight to Vegas, which was nice I slept the entire flight, most of the time on top of Dan so I am sure he was comfortable!

So we finally arrived in Vegas. Dan was excited it was his first time there!

We had arrived and were on our way to the hotel! Part two will be posted tomorrow, I just have so many pictures and so much to write about!

Have a great Sunday 🙂

Running After Time Off!

31 Jul

So as you know last week I was in Las Vegas. I could not blog there, because there was no way to upload pictures, and I did not want to give you less than worthy posts! Tomorrow I will begin to recap the Vegas Trip, I am just too lazy to post that long now and I have to get a second run in to keep my mileage up! Half Marathon and all in a little over 1 month EEEEK!

So yesterday was my first time running since LAST MONDAY! Boy was I nervous!!! It started with training with Jeff and a half mile warm up run….it felt hard. Not only because I hadn’t been running, but also because I think I adjusted to West Coast time and working out a 6 am is 3 am their time!! Afterward  I got a nice treadmill run in and was happy with the results.

Not much of an elevation gain, but I have been working on speed not Elevation, due to the fact my Half is a flat and fast course! I was pretty happy with this time!

Then there was today’s run

Today I did an interval speed workout that was pre-programed into my treadmill! It included a warmup and cool down! I was also happy with this performance because I was able to run the whole thing! This was nice because I wasnt sure what I would be able to do after almost a week off!

So I am back to running, and blogging, I know you are happy about reading more about my glamourous everyday life. 🙂

I am also back to doing this….

What a great dinner this was! Perdue pre-marinated Italian Chicken Breasts, French cut green beans, some salsa and some garlic butter rice! Quick, easy and delicious!

Finally I leave you classically with a Finny Picture….He really missed me! And was tired from hanging out with his lady all week (thats my grandma Fran.)
